I’m raising money for k9 Connection, a great organization that pairs shelter dogs with at-risk youth.

Why? Because I like to use my voice for those that don’t have one.

Some animals are beaten, abused, or forgotten. Many spend their days in a shelter, caged, only to be euthanized when more space is needed. I give my animals a great life, but I only have so much room. To help other animals, I support k9 Connection. They help give shelter dogs a chance to live beyond bars by training them so they are more adoptable.

While it is sad that many dogs do not have anyone to speak to them, it is perhaps more sad that there are children that also have no voice and no champion. Some kids are depressed or come from a broken home or have turned to drugs, and have no one to show them the way out. k9 Connection brilliantly pairs these youth with the shelter dogs. Together they teach each other discipline, positive reinforcement, the cause and effect of their behavior, and often, they give and receive the love that they need but cannot ask for.
